Pocketbook is an Australian budgeting app that allows you to organize your spending into categories to show you where your money is being spent. You can also setup budgets for these categories. A nifty feature about this app is that it connects to your bank so that you can track income and expenses automatically.

AUSTRALIAN TAXATION OFFICE

  • Free and available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone

You might be thinking you have Progue as your tax agent, so why would you need the ATO app? This app allows you to access their online services, record and manage tax deductions, show you key tax dates and access tools and calculators. It is designed for individuals, small business owners and self-managed super fund trustees.

EXPENSIFY

Expensify allows you to scan receipts and track time or mileage for tax deductions. What’s cool about this app is that it pulls information from the receipts including date, time, amount and merchant and puts it all into a CSV file ready for you to hand onto us at tax time

YOUR BANK’S APP

  • Free and available on Android and iOS

Your bank’s app can help you manage your money, check your balances and pay your bills on the go. Some banks also have the feature of allowing you to tap and pay using your phone. And with word going around that our ID moving online as well, we almost won’t need to carry a wallet any longer.
